SOURCE-FIELD METHOD FOR 3D MAGNETOSTATICS: INFLUENCE OF THE POTENTIAL CREATED BY THE EXCITING CURRENTS

In order to take into account the sources of magnetic fields on 3D magnetostatic cases, equivalent source fields may be introduced. Methods based on tree techniques have already been proposed to calculate such fields in the Finite Element Method. As a matter of fact, a given current source may correspond to a very large number of different source field distributions. The impact of the source field choice on the solution and also on the numerical behavior of the numerical problem is here investigated.
