Fast Model Transform (FMT), Frequency Selective Surface (FSS) with shorted ring slots, Wave Concept Iterative Procedure (WCIP)


In this paper, Wave Concept Iterative Procedure (WCIP) is presented. Based on transverse wave formulation, an iterative procedure is used to analyse Frequency Selective Surfaces (FSS) of arbitrary shape. The use of bounded operators leads to an insured convergence independently of the considered structure. Periodic walls theory is adopted in the WCIP method to solve for the electric field and current density on the surface of the FSS. Circular shorted ring slots FSS are analysed using WCIP method. This type of FSS enables adjusting the resonant frequency of the transmission coefficient. Important gain in the running time and used memory is obtained using the fast modal transform (FMT) based on the two dimensional fast Fourier transform algorithm. The WCIP method results are compared to experimental and simulated results of literature and a good agreement is observed.
