FOREWORD SPECIAL ISSUE: SELECTED PAPERS FROM MOMAG 2006
The MOMAG 2006, congregating the 12th SBMO-Simpósio Brasileiro de Microondas e Optoeletrônica-and the 7th CBMag-Congresso Brasileiro de Eletromagnetismo - was held in August 7-10, 2006, in Belo Horizonte, MG, Brazil. There were almost 250 papers presented at the conference, including 20 invited papers. The conference had over 250 enthusiastic attendees from all regions of Brazil and abroad.Authors were invited to submit extended versions of their conference papers for another peer review and possible acceptance in this Special Issue of the Journal of Microwaves and Optoelectronics (JMO). In response to this invitation, 66 papers were submitted for this new review cycle. Each paper was peer reviewed in terms of originality, content, and presentation. A scoring system was given by the reviewers to rate the paper's overall quality. Following the extended paper review process, 19 papers were finally accepted for inclusion in this Special Issue of the JMO. We proudly present these selected papers and hope the reader finds this publication interesting and stimulating.The success of the MOMAG 2006 owes to authors, participants, and the organization members.
